How to adapt a house for PV

Topics: ENERGO

To install a photovoltaic power plant, you need space both on the roof and inside the house. Where will we need to find space in the house and how does the meeting with the technicians go?

In new construction

If you are building a new building, it is a good idea to consult the realization of the PV plant before the start of construction. Interventions in your house will then be as minimal as possible.

This way, you can adapt your house as best as possible for the installation and ensure that nothing shadows the panels. Therefore, you can place various dormers and chimneys directly on the north side of the roof. The panels can also be placed on related buildings – garages, etc.

In addition to the panels themselves, you need to find a place for other components such as an inverter, inverter, battery, switchboard, etc.

Accessories for solar technology

The inverter changes the direct current from the panels to alternating current and thus enables, very simply put, the functionality of all the appliances in the house. It is usually located in the technical room, or garage, boiler room, unused laundry room, etc. You need about 1.5 x 1.5 m of wall space for it.

This system adds a battery, if you have one, and an auxiliary switchboard. This will expand your space by 1 m2. The two elements, the inverter and the battery, do not necessarily have to be placed together.

We can all only guess how many cables in what places we will need later. The cable protectors (goosenecks) thus extend from the soil to the inverter and from the inverter to the main switchboard of the house. They should be 0.5 cm in diameter.

It is better to choose a larger main switchboard so that connections can be added to it. The right type and size of boiler depends on the output of your PV system. A FVE with an output of 3 kWp corresponds to a boiler with a volume of 250 – 300 l. It is better to choose a larger one so that it heats as much water as possible.

Solar panels on the roof

Solar panels do not damage the roof. LOSKY makes sure that the installation is not too heavy for a particular roof structure. It is always advisable to check the warranty issue with the roof supplier. We carefully install individual panels at such a slope that water and snow do not accumulate on them.

How does the FVE implementation process work?

By entering a request, you order a free consultation, where we will advise you on everything you need. This is followed by a local investigation, a visit by a technician and the signing of a contract. We will agree on the implementation date with you within a few months. We provide everything under one roof, which is why we guarantee the speed of the order.

PV installation does not take place all year round, but usually from March to October due to health and safety rules. During the winter months, interior preparation and cable distribution can take place so that only the actual installation on the roof can be completed during the summer months. We will complete the complete installation of PV plants up to 10 kW within one day.
